Terms and Conditions

Payment Methods:

The full amount is payable at the time of booking a course or workshop to confirm a place, via PayPal or bank transfer. Booking forms must be completed by parents/carers attending any Serene Baby course and emailed with the signed terms and conditions before the start of the course. It is the responsibility of the parent/carer to inform the instructor of any changes to the consent form on a weekly basis.

Confirmation of place

Once payment has been made in full then full confirmation will be sent via email confirming your place and the weeks included in your booking, plus a message via text message.


A course or event may be cancelled provided you inform Serene Baby in writing within 5 working days of the course commencing. Please note there may be an administration charge of up to one-class for any changes made.

If a pandemic arises (See Termination due to force Majeure events) there will be no refunds or class swaps due to small class and bubble groups.

Termination due to force Majeure events

If any of the following occur, face to face classes will continue via an online platform or lifetime access will be given to the Serene Baby Teaching School  – Baby Massage & Yoga Course.

Natural disasters such as, including flood, earthquake, wind, storm or other natural disaster; pandemic, threat of or preparation for epidemic, pandemic, or similar mass viral contagion risk; nuclear, chemical or biological contamination; war, threat of or preparation for war, armed conflict, imposition of sanctions, embargo, breaking off of diplomatic relations or similar actions; strike, labour unrest; embargo, act of government, or regulatory, customs, civil or military authority; inability to obtain supplies of products/raw materials, acts or omissions of carriers; terrorist attack, civil war, civil commotion or riots; or other events potentially affecting the market.

Holidays and sickness policy:

Regrettably I cannot offer discounts or refunds to cover your booked holidays due to the need to ensure continuity of service.

You may offer your place to a friend if you prefer please contact Sareena if this is to be the case.

Supervision and withdrawal of service

All children must be supervised at all times and not left unattended. The Serene Baby cannot be responsible for a child at any time. Any children behaving disruptively may be asked to leave the group.

Should a carer or associated visitor behave in a way that Serene Baby feels is unreasonable then the company reserves the rights to withdraw the provision of classes to the client.


No later than two weeks before your term runs out your Sareena will ask you whether you wish to renew for another term. Serene Baby will inform you of how to rebook your space and payment terms this is usually done via our online booking system. Note however that places remain on a first come first served basis. Parents are usually given 2 weeks to book their space before spaces are offered to the wider community.

Cancellation of Classes policy:

Serene Baby will endeavour to run classes during bad weather such as snow and ice however in some cases classes may have to be cancelled. I will endeavour to update parents through either the Facebook page or by text so please ensure all contact details are kept up to date.

In the event of this happening classes will be moved on to the online platform Zoom.


Parents are asked to keep their child at home if they have a serious infection and to inform Serene Baby as to the nature of the infection so that other parents can be alerted.

Please keep your child at home if he/she:

  • Has a fever or has had one in the previous 24 hours
  • Has had Diarrhoea in the previous 48 hours
  • Has heavy nasal discharge
  • Has discharging eyes

For our baby massage class babies cannot attend an infant massage class if they have been immunised up to

48hrs beforehand.

If your child is displaying any of the symptoms of possible communicable diseases such as:

  • Measles
  • Chicken pox
  • German measles
  • Whooping cough
  • Impetigo
  • Scarlett fever
  • Hand, foot and mouth disease
  • Norovirus

Parent Illness – Covid19

If you have developed a new cough, or high temperature or any Covid19 symptoms you must adhere to government guide lines.

I cannot offer a refund for a lesson missed due to illness.

Data Protection

The information on the booking form contains personal data.

Serene Baby will record, process and keep your personal information secure in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Information will not be passed onto a third party.

Videos, photographs and confidentiality

Photographs will only be taken of you and your baby if you have agreed by giving consent. Any photographs taken in the classes will be used for advertising and marketing purposes only. We will never take photographs of your baby during massage when they are naked, only when they are wearing a nappy and/or clothes and only if you have given your consent. Parents are permitted to take photographs of their child but only their child during classes.

Protection of property

Please note that your property left in prams or bags is your responsibility and not the responsibility of Serene Baby

Wellbeing or the venue. 

Health & Safety and Hygiene Policies:

Serene Baby follows rigorous internal checks of the venue and its own equipment to ensure that they are clean and safe. Daily Risk Assessments are conducted.

Serene Baby asks all parents and carers to remove their shoes while in class in order to reduce the chance of transmission of microorganisms. Shoes need to be worn to visit the bathroom within class times .

Children are encouraged to wear non slip socks to avoid injury as some of the venues have hard flooring.

Changes to our Terms and Conditions

Serene Baby from time to time may need to update or change these T&Cs. I will inform you of changes through regular channels of communication and you have 14 days to opt out of accepting changes in writing.

Failure to do so will entitle Serene Baby to treat this agreement with you as being updated with the changes.

Serene Baby Terms and Conditions are aimed to offer and present a fair structure to all who attend. I aim to provide my clients with the highest quality classes I can give.

Please note participation of a Serene Baby class is entirely at your own risk without any proven negligence or breach of duty or care or lack of due diligence by Serene Baby.
